a photo lab for
photo lovers

Greyscale Darkroom and Photo Lab is an analog photography lab dedicated to making the art and practice of traditional film photography and darkroom printing accessible to everyone.

Whether you’re a practicing photographer looking for a place to process film and make prints, or you’ve just run your first roll of T-Max through a 35mm camera, we’re here for you.

Owner and Founder Krystal Grow has worked in darkrooms and film labs for over 20 years, processing copy negatives at local newspapers, making pinhole prints and cyanotypes at photo festivals, and managing community photo labs. She has written extensively about photography for American Photography, TIME, and WIRED. She has curated exhibitions and is currently the Curator of The Galleries at the Narrowsburg Union. Since 2013 she has worked for Getty Images, first as a Senior Photo Editor on the Global Picture Desk and currently as an Assignments Coordinator with the North American Paid Assignments, managing pre and post production logistics for major events. But at the core of all of this is a love of photography and a dedication to making traditional analog practices affordable, accessible, and fun for everyone.
